Actionable Feedback Policy
Reader feedback is one of the main ways NewsFormal improves. This policy describes what we count as actionable feedback and what we do with it.
1. What Counts as Feedback
Suggestions, criticism or comments about the briefs we publish, the desks and sectors we cover, the risk and opportunity assessments, the weekly calendar and bulletin, our alerts and My Newsroom filters, or the design and usability of the site.
2. Actionable Feedback
Feedback that identifies a specific problem, or proposes a specific improvement, in a way we can act on. "The energy desk missed the OPEC+ decision on Tuesday" is actionable; "your coverage is bad" is not, though we will still read it.
3. How to Send It
- E-mail [email protected].
- Comment under any brief (a Google sign-in is required to comment).
- Factual errors should go through our Correction Policy so they are prioritised.
4. How Feedback Is Reviewed
Every message is read. Actionable feedback is routed to the relevant desk or to the product team. If we need more detail we may reply to ask for it.
5. What Happens Next
Where feedback leads to a change, whether a corrected brief, a new source, an adjusted filter or a fixed bug, we implement it and, where the reader is directly affected, let them know what we did. Feedback we decide not to act on is still logged and considered when we review our priorities.
6. Privacy
You do not have to share personal data to give feedback. If you include contact details we use them only to follow up on your message, as described in our Privacy Policy.
