Final 2026 PIS/Pasep Release: Who Gets Paid and Until When

Brazil has started paying the final group of workers in the 2026 PIS/Pasep salary-bonus calendar. According to G1, the latest release covers workers born in November and December and was made available on Saturday (15). The benefit is tied to the 2024 base year and can be withdrawn until the calendar closes on 30 December 2026.

To qualify, a worker must have received average monthly remuneration of up to R$2,765.93 in 2024. The amount can reach up to one minimum wage and depends on how long the person worked in the base year. The Ministry of Labour and Employment estimates that 26.9 million workers will receive the benefit in 2026, with around R$33.5 billion in total payments.

From 2026, the payment schedule follows fixed dates: the money is released on the 15th of the month corresponding to the worker's birth month, or on the first following business day when the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday. The annual deadline for withdrawal is now the last bank business day of the year, under Banco Central rules.

Workers can check the receiving bank, payment date and values, including amounts from previous years, in the Digital Work Card application or on the gov.br portal.

What Brazil's New Fixed-Date PIS/Pasep Calendar Changes for Workers

Why the R$2,765.93 limit defines the eligible group

The cutoff is based on average monthly pay during 2024, not current income. Workers who remained below this threshold qualify, while those above it are excluded. Because the benefit is proportional to the number of months worked in 2024, two workers with the same average monthly pay can still receive different amounts.

What the move to fixed dates changes

From this year, the release date is predictable: the 15th of the birth month, or the next business day. That should make it easier for workers to plan, but it also concentrates withdrawals around fewer predictable dates rather than spreading them across the year.

The Banco Central deadline and the risk of unclaimed money

Setting the withdrawal deadline as the last bank business day of the year creates a hard end point. Workers who do not withdraw by the deadline risk losing access to the funds. Because values from previous years can also be checked in the app, the digital portals are a practical first stop before the calendar closes.

How to Check and Withdraw the 2026 PIS/Pasep Benefit

For workers who may qualify for the 2026 PIS/Pasep payment, the following steps are practical:

  • Check your average monthly pay in 2024. If it was up to R$2,765.93, you may be entitled to the benefit; the amount is proportional to the months worked.
  • If you were born in November or December, your payment is in the current final batch. You have until 30 December 2026 to withdraw it.
  • Use the Carteira de Trabalho Digital app or the gov.br portal to confirm the paying bank, the exact payment date and the value, including any amounts from previous years.
  • Remember the new fixed rule: from 2026, future payments fall on the 15th of your birth month, or the first business day after. Set a reminder for that date each year.
  • Avoid waiting until late December; the annual deadline is now the last bank business day of the year, and missing it can mean leaving the benefit unclaimed.
