Revuelto Miura 60° Homage: A 99-Car Tribute to the 1966 Miura

Lamborghini is marking 60 years since the launch of the Miura — broadly regarded as the first super sports car — with a limited edition of its current flagship. The Revuelto Miura 60° Homage, capped at 99 units, was developed by the Ad Personam personalization program with Lamborghini Centro Stile and will be unveiled during Monterey Car Week (August 7-16) at the Lamborghini Lounge Monterey.

The 1966 Miura set new performance benchmarks in its day — 385 hp and a top speed beyond 290 km/h in its most powerful form — and became one of the most influential designs in automotive history. Sixty years on, the Homage reworks the Miura's visual identity while keeping the production Revuelto's technical base: a naturally aspirated V12 combined with a hybrid system, producing 1,015 hp and 807 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed above 350 km/h.

The edition is offered in nine exterior colors drawn from historic Miura shades, with two signature decors — Oro Elios with gold Altanero wheels, or Grigio Nimbus with matte titanium wheels — plus a Miura 60 badge, black brake calipers and matte black exhausts. Inside, Classica Trim leather recreates the Miura's "cannelloni" pattern on the seats, tunnel, door panels and engine bulkhead, with a "Miura 60" embroidery between the seats. Each car carries a carbon-fiber plaque stamped "Miura 60° – Serie Speciale 1 di 99." Owners of classic Miuras can also commission period-correct color combinations through Ad Personam, even outside the nine official options.

"For our collectors and clients, exclusivity means authenticity, uniqueness and lasting emotional value," said Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. The company, founded in 1963 in Sant'Agata Bolognese, employs more than 3,000 people and sells through 186 dealers in 57 countries.

Heritage as Strategy: What the 99-Unit Homage Reveals

Exclusivity as the Pricing Strategy

Lamborghini has not published a price for the Homage, but the 99-unit cap does the commercial heavy lifting. Against a dealer network of 186 outlets in 57 countries, a run of 99 cars is deliberately smaller than potential demand, which protects the brand's pricing power and sets up the numbered "1 di 99" plaque to matter for future collectible value. That is an inference from the production cap, not an official statement.

Heritage as a Bridge to the Hybrid Era

The Revuelto is the flagship of a lineup Lamborghini now describes as fully electrified, alongside the Urus SE and the Temerario. Launching a Miura-themed edition of an HPEV model is a deliberate way to frame the shift away from pure combustion as a continuation of brand history rather than a break with it — Winkelmann's comments tie the new generation directly to the 1966 milestone.

Ad Personam's Quiet Commercial Role

The personalization program is more than styling: it is a high-margin revenue stream for supercar makers, and the edition is engineered to feed it. Nine colors are offered, but the invitation for Miura owners to commission period-correct shades through Ad Personam deliberately pulls the brand's most devoted heritage collectors into the customization business.

Collector Notes: Allocation, Colors and the Monterey Reveal

For collectors and buyers, the practical details that matter:

  • The debut takes place at the Lamborghini Lounge Monterey during Monterey Car Week, August 7-16 — typically when allocation interest is formalized.
  • Production is fixed at 99 numbered cars (plaque "1 di 99"), and Lamborghini has not said whether units are already allocated, so early expression of interest through Ad Personam is the realistic route.
  • Nine official exterior colors are offered, but classic Miura owners may commission their car's original color scheme via Ad Personam even if it is not among the nine.
  • Specification matches the standard Revuelto: 1,015 hp, 807 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, top speed above 350 km/h.
