Renault's 100-Car UK Tour: Left-Hand-Drive Twingos Head to Dealers

Renault has imported 100 left-hand-drive examples of the Twingo E-Tech from France and is sending them on a nationwide tour of UK dealerships. The cars, all finished in Absolute Green, will be static displays ahead of general order books opening later this year, with right-hand-drive models still to come.

The move responds to strong early interest in the small electric hatchback, which Renault is trying to convert into sales through its Twingo R Pass. For £100, customers get priority access when RHD ordering opens, along with exclusive model updates, a dedicated concierge service, a miniature Twingo model and a green key cover.

Renault UK Managing Director Adam Wood said Twingo is capturing attention in the same way the Renault 5 and Renault 4 did, and that using LHD show cars lets dealers answer customer questions and showcase the car's styling, packaging and personality before the official UK launch.

UK pricing, final specifications and a firm order date have not yet been announced, though Renault says general orders will open later this year.
