A New Lead for Intact's Fine Arts Book
Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions announced on July 15 that Kyle Gosselink has been hired to lead its Fine Arts product within the U.S. Inland Marine business. Gosselink, based in Sunapee, New Hampshire, reports to Lucas Hockenberry, president of U.S. Inland Marine.
Gosselink’s career spans nearly two decades across underwriting, brokerage and private client advising. She began underwriting fine art risks for museums, galleries, private collectors and artists, later moved into private collection advisory work, launched her own agency, and managed portfolios of prominent galleries and cultural institutions.
In the new role, she is charged with developing and growing the company’s Fine Arts division, helping brokers and customers protect high-value collections and cultural property through tailored insurance solutions.
What Gosselink Brings to the Inland Marine Unit
A Resume Built for High-Value Collections
Gosselink’s path from hands-on underwriting to running her own advisory practice gives her a rare fusion of insurer and broker perspectives. That dual lens can help Intact refine policy wording, coverage triggers and valuation processes for fine art, an asset class where standard property forms often fall short. Her deep relationships with galleries, museums and private collectors also provide immediate access to a network of potential clients.
What It Signals for Intact's Specialty Ambitions
The appointment underscores Intact Specialty's intention to build a more visible Fine Arts offering inside its Inland Marine portfolio. Fine art tends to be a high-touch, relationship-driven line; bringing in a recognised practitioner signals to the broker community that the carrier is serious about competing for specialised placement business rather than treating fine art as a peripheral add-on.
