Tim Hortons' Harry Potter Menu: The Limited-Edition Lineup
Tim Hortons is marking the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter film series with a limited-edition menu built around the four Hogwarts houses and the franchise's annual Back to Hogwarts celebration. The promotion is tied to Sept. 1, the date students board the Hogwarts Express in the books and films. Katerina Glyptis, president of Tim Hortons U.S., said the chain is bringing the magic of Harry Potter to its menu through themed food, drinks and merchandise.
The food lineup includes four donuts named for the Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor Strawberry Cheesecake, Slytherin Chocolate Pistachio, Ravenclaw Blueberry and Hufflepuff Lemon Meringue. A Mystery Box offers a surprise Harry Potter-themed donut for customers who do not want to choose a single flavor.
Golden Snitch Caramel Timbits are available in 10- and 20-packs, alongside a limited-edition Golden Snitch Timbits holder designed to resemble the Quidditch ball. The Patronus Sparkling beverage and Forbidden Forest Iced Tea are served in temperature-activated cups that change color when filled, revealing a trail of Patronuses. Illustrated limited-edition packaging completes the collection.
The announcement did not specify pricing, an end date, or how widely the merchandise will be distributed.
Why Tim Hortons Is Timing Its Menu to Back to Hogwarts
Why the Back to Hogwarts Timing Matters
The collaboration is tied to an annual fan calendar rather than a new film release. Back to Hogwarts gives the promotion a built-in moment each year around Sept. 1, so Tim Hortons can use nostalgia and fandom to attract customers during a late-summer period when quick-service chains often try to refresh menus and generate traffic.
That interpretation is based on the timing and the executive's framing; Tim Hortons has not published sales expectations for the promotion.
The Offer Is Built for Collection and Sharing
Each item gives fans a reason to buy multiple products instead of one. The four house donuts let customers choose or collect based on Hogwarts affiliation, while the Golden Snitch holder and color-changing cups are designed to be shown off. Glyptis specifically described the merchandise as something guests will want to collect and share, which suggests the campaign's goal is as much about social-media visibility as it is about a single transaction.
Whether the promotion drives repeat purchases will depend on pricing, availability and how many locations carry the limited items.
How to Shop the Tim Hortons Harry Potter Items
- Order by house if you want control. The four donuts — Gryffindor Strawberry Cheesecake, Slytherin Chocolate Pistachio, Ravenclaw Blueberry and Hufflepuff Lemon Meringue — let fans pick their Hogwarts house, while the Mystery Box is the wildcard option for a surprise themed donut.
- Look for the Golden Snitch items together. The caramel Timbits come in 10- and 20-packs, but the Golden Snitch holder is a separate limited-edition item; if you want the Quidditch-themed container, confirm it is included before ordering.
