A $360,000-Plus Celestiq in Dark Blue Arrives at The Quail
Cadillac has brought a new one-of-one commission of its Celestiq electric sedan to Monterey Car Week, using the 2026 Night Test to show how far its ultraluxury personalization can go. The car pairs a dark blue finish called Caspia Tricoat Metallic with black-and-blue detailing across the lights, trim and 23-inch wheels.
The interior continues the dark theme with Backen Black and Sheer Gray leather, accented by carbon fiber and brushed metal. Cadillac says the car is assembled by hand at its Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, on the GM Tech Center campus, the same process used for every Celestiq.
The Night Test is on display at The Quail, part of Monterey Car Week. Cadillac frames the car's name around the "quiet, after-hours world where real performance is honed," evoking athletes or musicians practicing alone at night. The brand also says a similar bespoke process called Curated by Cadillac will soon be offered for the Escalade IQ electric SUV.
What the Celestiq Night Test Reveals About Cadillac's Bespoke Strategy
Cadillac's Ultra-Luxury Play at Monterey
Cadillac is using The Quail to reinforce the Celestiq's place among low-volume, coachbuilt-style EVs. The Night Test is less about introducing new technology than about demonstrating the breadth of its commission program; the unique blue-and-black specification is a physical example of what buyers can request through Cadillac's Artisan Center and Cadillac House process.
The venue matters. Monterey Car Week has become a focal point for exotic and boutique automakers, so the one-of-one reveal is aimed at the same high-net-worth audience that considers Rolls-Royce, Bentley or bespoke coachbuilders.
The Escalade IQ Signal
By saying Curated by Cadillac will soon extend to the Escalade IQ, Cadillac is testing whether high-margin personalization can scale beyond a tiny halo vehicle. The Celestiq remains an ultra-low-volume program, but applying parts of that buying experience to a flagship electric SUV gives Cadillac a broader base of customers who may pay for individualized finishes.
What This Means for Celestiq and Escalade IQ Buyers
- Prospective Celestiq clients should view the Night Test as a reference specification: the Caspia Tricoat Metallic exterior and Backen Black and Sheer Gray interior show one dark-blue direction that can be commissioned through the Artisan Center process.
- Escalade IQ buyers should note that Cadillac says Curated by Cadillac is coming; exact timing and scope were not disclosed, so customization availability is not yet guaranteed at a specific date.
- Attendees at Monterey Car Week can see the car at The Quail, where Cadillac is positioning the Night Test among other luxury and exotic debuts.
